Willow Park opened in September 2021 and was formed from the amalgamation of St Michaels on the Mount and St George Primary Schools. As the Headteacher of this school, I am so proud of what we have achieved already and we have exciting plans as we move forward into the next academic year.
We are a small one form entry school that lies in the heart of Bristol City Centre. Because of this we are able to offer the children rich and unique experience to enhance the children’s knowledge of the curriculum. We have so much on our doorstop that children are regularly exploring the local environment. We use Curious City as a catalyst for our curriculum and each enquiry is headed with a question and the learning is child led. The children and staff have loved this and we have seen a huge shift in progress especially within the foundation subjects.
Something else that makes us so special is how diverse our children and staff are. Our community come from all over the world from as far as Chile, USA, Ukraine, Middle East and Pakistan to name a few. Our community is so culturally rich – everyone knows everyone – a real family feel here at Willow Park!
